Prevention of Falls Network Europe :: ProFaNE Meeting Berlin 2007

A very warm welcome to this Symposium on Falls Prevention. The symposium was jointly organised by ProFaNE and the German Ministry for Health.

The meeting focused on best practise models in Europe, the role of Non Governmental Organisations in the push for better services for older people and how the new findings of ProFaNE can have a positive impact on the future dissemination of fall prevention to older people and their carers. The main purpose of the meeting was to inform governmental bodies, policy decision makers, health care managers and representatives of non-governmental organisations about new developments in this field.
